Roots Ride Bike and Walk-A-Thon

On Sunday, September 14, E.O. Smith High School in Mansfield will host the 6th annual Roots Ride bike/walk-a-thon for Roots of Development, a community development non-profit that promotes sustainable development without dependency. Proceeds will directly support educational training and technology for leadership development in Haiti.

At this year’s event, community members of all ages will have the opportunity to participate in a 40-, 20- or 5-mile cycle, or a 5-mile walk. All participants are required to raise or donate a minimum of $20 to benefit Roots of Development.

In addition, the holistic community wellness event will continue during and after the rides to bring together community and encourage healthy lifestyles for everyone. There will be informational booths, food, local holistic vendors, entertainment and activities for all ages.
